<Diary of Kyoto Life from Gallery Rin>
We are starting to post about our daily life in Kyoto as a diary.
Our gallery owner participated flower art workshop.
An exhibition by Nobuo Sugino, one of Japan's leading pressed flower artists, was being held at the Kyoto Butsuryu Museum. This is a photo of the postcard and pen I made at the pressed flower art workshop held on the last day of the event. Mr. Sugino's work was included in last year's NHK morning drama "Ranman," and he was presented with medalists' victory bouquets as pressed flowers at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.

Our gallery owner works with flowers as a business, so he learned a lot about color schemes and arrangement. Although it was a short workshop, it seemed like they were able to make some wonderful cards and pens.
The last photo may be a little hard to see with the pen, but it has heart-shaped petals in it!
