Mr. Tani has been exploring the firing methods of Shigaraki ware and old Shigaraki for over 10 years, producing works using an anagama kiln. "Uzukumaru" is the name of a small pot from Shigaraki. It is said that the name came from the appearance of a person crouching down.

There is a crack on the wall or bottom that occurred during the kiln process. The piece comes with Otoshi (an inside cup), so please use to fill water.
This piece comes with a wodden box called "tomobako", japanese traditional accompanying box for ceramics and art pieces, signed by the artist.
