A work by TaniQ, a ceramic artist based in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture. TaniQ has been exploring the firing methods of Shigaraki ware and old Shigaraki for over 10 years, producing works using an anagama kiln.

 

"Heishi" bottle is a type of jar with a bulging body and a narrow mouth. Originally, it was used as a sake vessel dedicated to the gods in Japan.
