Held in Bloom

Here is the quiet note from Kyoto by Gallery Rin.

Last weekend, my husband and I took our kids to a park near the gallery—a place we often hang out, moving a little more slowly than usual.
The cherry blossoms were at their peak.
Soft pink petals stretched across the sky, catching the light in a way that felt almost weightless.
Beneath them, children ran freely, their laughter rising and falling like a breeze.
There was no plan for the day, no particular destination—only time, gently unfolding.

We sat on a worn wooden bench, watching petals drift down one by one.
Some landed quietly on the ground, while others lingered in the air for a moment longer, as if reluctant to fall. The children tried to catch them, their small hands reaching upward, again and again.
It was a simple day.
And yet, it felt complete.
There are moments that do not ask to be remembered, but stay with you nonetheless.
Perhaps it is something about spring—the way everything comes into being, all at once, and then begins, quietly, to let go.
