About the event
We will be holding a workshop on modern New Year's decorations using Mizuhiki, inviting Ms. Shoko Tani, sssco.san.
This is an original design from sssco.san that goes well with both Japanese and Western styles. Let's enjoy making New Year's decorations together while receiving a lecture from our instructor, Ms. Shoko Tani. After the workshop, we will serve matcha tea and some sweets. Please enjoy the time at Gallery Rin.

During her student days, Shoko Tani mainly studied dyeing and weaving in Kyoto.
Continuing her research, she has exhibited her own works constructed using fibers such as washi paper both domestically and internationally.
She served as a university lecturer and contract designer for an apparel company.
After giving birth, she started sssco.san, which designs and sews everyday items such as cloth items.
In response to requests for New Year's decorations that she had made every year for her home, he began making and selling them, and also held workshops at the same time.

※We have prepared a simple mount and bag for you to take home (free of charge). If you need a box, we will charge an additional 500 yen. If you are interested, please select the option on the application form when making a reservation.
※If you make one more item within the time limit, the material cost will be 1,500 yen.
